"You don't have to understand here to be here."

What do you do when you're suddenly (not to mention falsely) accused of murder? And then, what do you do when despite the odds stacked against you, you survive? What do you do when you're finally released back into the world? Some people seek peace. Others seek vengeance. And if you're Charlie Crews, the line between those two might be nigh indistinguishable.

When Charlie was set up for murder he lost his job, his wife, his friends and his freedom. He also lost fruit - and while that might not make the list of things people mourn when in prison, but you try going without fresh fruit for 12 years and then see how you feel. Betrayed for reasons he doesn't understand, he's looking for answers.

Instead of choosing to take his settlement and disappear, he asked that part of his settlement be his return to police work. The cops he works with don't trust him, his chief (Lt. Davis) wants to see him fired and his former partner in the force, Bobby may just be part of the conspiracy that had him sent away to jail in the first place. His new partner Dani Reese wants nothing to do with him, but he knows he'll win her over eventually. The art of patience is something he has mastered.

Charlie a follower of Zen. Sort of. You'll see what I mean.

Oh and don't piss him off. You'll regret it.

Charlie Crews is from the tv show Life, and is the property of Rand Ravich and NBC. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in [community profile] milliways_bar, from which no profit whatsoever is being made. The man in the icons is Damian Lewis and he belongs to himself.
